| Our Antenatal classes, also known as pre-natal classes (and mistakenly called “anti-natal”) will provide all the information you need to manage and even enjoy the arrival of your new baby. Our pregnancy & new baby classes are perfectly suited to the modern busy lives we lead and they run at a pace that allows for reflection and questions. This is in contrast to many hospital antenatal classes, which in our experience are too rigid in structure and their scheduling demands multiple visits to the hospital. This is why our one-stop all day antenatal course was created and it was the first of its kind in Ireland.
General Antenatal Class Information
Our group antenatal class runs monthly on Saturdays at the Clarion Hotel in Liffey Valley, but where a Saturday does not suit, alternative arrangements can be made by simply contacting us. We charge €200 per couple, this includes tea / coffee / scones and a light lunch. There is ample parking at the hotel, and going home, each couple will receive a full and comprehensive set of Doreen's own private notes. We also issue receipts, as part of the course fee can be claimed back from your health insurance.
You should think of our ante natal class as an interactive workshop, which runs from 9am to 5pm. It is a day packed with information, practical scenarios and discussion to prepare you for any situation that arises before and after your baby is born (see the agenda below). We do not believe in showing videos and you certainly won’t be sitting blankly in front of a TV screen for hours!
Expectant and new mothers have so many questions that need answering;
“Why is my baby crying?”
“When will the baby sleep through the night?”
“What will the birth be like?”
“What are my options during birth?”
“Is breast feeding best?”
All these questions and so much more are answered during the course of the day and you are left with a comprehensive folder of valuable information that will see you through the first year of your new baby’s life.
We also provide a follow-up telephone consultation process, where any additional questions or issues that arise can be easily and quickly resolved.

Flexible Options For Attending Our New Baby Classes
We realise that every person, every pregnancy and everyone’s commitments are different. For this reason we offer three different options for attending our classes that should suit every need.
Group Antenatal Classes
The group sessions run monthly on Saturdays. They are ideal for people who want a shared learning experience. You may want to hear everyone else’s experiences with pregnancy and planning for their new baby or perhaps you’re too shy to ask a certain question, which someone else will no doubt ask. Either way, these group classes can be enlightening and comforting by learning in a shared environment.
1-to-1 Antenatal Classes
These services are available on a limited basis, please contact us to discuss your needs further.
